Here is Mid Century at its best. Small Motorola model 56R Jetsons style radio in great condition. Its cabinet with complete and intact rear cover in the highly sought-after fire engine red (not painted). Plaskon is in perfect cosmetic condition with no repairs, chips, crack or hairlines. Its five-tube chassis with built-in loop antenna plays loud and clear across the AM dial. Has a short cord which appears original, so did not change. It is a very hard radio to find without any cosmetic damage like cracks or hairline cracks. The radio is playing clearly picking up all my local AM stations and beyond. This model came in several colors: ivory, black, green and red Plaskon. Everything is all original, knobs and back. About 9-1/2"W x 5-1/2"H x 5-1/2"D.
