Stewart-Warner R1361A (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Stewart-Warner R1361A (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one of the choice receivers from the mid-1930s. This is a highly stylish Stewart-Warner Deco tombstone This is a recent restore electronically replacing all caps, weak tubes, resistors where needed and alignment. An RCA jack was also added to make it Bluetooth ready. Seven-tuber that plays loud and clear picking up all across the dial. Looks at that beautiful "sunburst" dial with fine tune "second" hand. It appears original finish except possibly the front panel. Gorgeous American Walnut with mahogany chevron splitting the grille opening and book matched veneers on the top. The effect is stunning! This is one of the "Craft-built" cabinets (see tag), which was S-W's answer to the famous Ingraham cabinets. All original as far as I can tell incl. knobs, grille cloth, dial, escutcheon, factory speaker, etc. Very clean chassis as well and factory tag inside. This is a collector quality radio, not offered for sale often. This is an outstanding radio direct from my collection. 20-1/4"H x 15"W x 12"D.
