Zenith 6-S-528 (1941)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Zenith 6-S-528 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a sweet six-tube Zenith that utilizes the same chassis as the model 6-S-527, but has ornate wraparound sides which really give it a unique appearance. The burled walnut veneer is book matched on ends as well as on top. The cabinet is a previous refinish but looks great with only a couple of very small touchups in inconspicuous places that actually blend with the burl. Recently restored electronically replacing all caps, weak tubes, resistors where needed and alignment. Plays great picking up all my locals and beyond using only the Zenith "wave magnet" internal antenna + there is a terminal for longer antenna for longer distance SW listening. One of the last of the pre-war radios, the Zenith 6S528 is very attractive and packed with features, including the latest innovation from Zenith, the "wave magnet" internal antenna, shortwave, and pushbutton tuning. The radio is playing clearly picking up all my local stations, and beyond. The knobs and push buttons are original, and the back is a perfect replacement from Retro-Tronics. The dial lamp really makes it pop at night. This would be a super addition to any collection! 15"W x 8-1/2"H x 8"D, shipped weight 20 pounds.
