Stromberg-Carlson 1000J (1941)
(wood tube table radio)

Stromberg-Carlson 1000J (1941)

Ingraham = beauty. No doubt this is an Ingraham cabinet with just one look. It's a rather elaborate style with pretty inlays + combo of mahogany & walnut woods. This was restored in and out by previous owner and plays loud and clear picking up all my locals & beyond. Very clean chassis. You can not beat the beauty and elegance of an Ingraham cabinet, and this Stromberg Carlson is no exception. Nicknamed the "Humpback" for its top curved streamlined design, the mahogany cabinet is just gorgeous with the off setting "fins" for grille louvers which really add a classy touch along with the waterfall ends & sides. The original backlit dial, clear dial cover, pointer, wooden factory back, orig. knobs are all in perfect condition. The chassis is powered by six tubes and features a loop antenna which provides for very sensitive reception with lots of volume, nice warm tone, and no hum picking up all my locals & beyond. The repro Ingraham name plate remains intact on the bottom of the cabinet and the original full wood back is included. 14-3/4"W x 9-1/4"H x 9-1/4"D.
