Truetone D1016 (1941)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Truetone D1016 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Truetone, a Western Auto Supply radio in beautiful swirled Bakelite (made by Detrola). One of a kind classic Deco design. Colorful dial where the "Truetone" badge on the dial lights up when the radio is on. The swirled brown Bakelite case has no cosmetic damage, no chips, cracks, repairs, nor hairlines or scratches. It has its original metal back with all graphics, knobs, dial, etc. This radio plays great; it's hand polished to a brilliant shine and looks like new. The beautiful large colorful dial retains its brilliant red and gold color behind a crystal-clear dial cover (very slight warpage that does not detract in any way). The chassis has been serviced by a pro replacing all capacitors and out of tolerance resistors + all tubes checked & replaced if needed. It is playing loud and clear, picking up all my local stations and beyond. Again, 100% all-original case including dial, dial cover, knobs, back and bottom labels. It looks identical to the post-war version, model D2610. A must-have radio for any serious radio collector. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. The radio is almost midget sized at 9-1/2"W x 7”H x 6”D; weighs only 6 lbs.
