DeWald A-502 Catalin (1939)
(Catalin tube table radio)

DeWald A-502 Catalin (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a seldom seen much less offered "for sale," small DeWald Catalin with wonderful color combination which really makes it "pop." It comes direct from my collection & non-smoking home. Stunning example of Catalin DeWald model A-502 "Step-Top" insert grille model. Manufactured in 1939 by DeWald Radio Mfg Corp of New York & is a magnificent, exquisitely crafted Art Deco radio. The Catalin cabinet has a rich color, and glow combined with exceptionally striking yellow colorful marbleizing that looks like veins of fire pouring through the cabinet, "eye candy" for sure. The radio is in original condition, and is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns, major scratches, or repairs. The butterscotch pinwheel knobs and insert grille are original to the radio and are perfect. The DeWald cream and red reverse painted curved dial glass is original and also in excellent condition. Original cardboard back panel and manufacturers sticker are still present. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition. The chassis has been completely checked by a professional, and the radio is playing clearly & the dial lamp is also working. About 10"W x 6-1/2"H x 6"D.
