Silvertone 4465 Tombstone (1937)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Silvertone 4465 Tombstone (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a stunning and highly sought after Silvertone tombstone, which is often called the "gold dial." Made for Sears by Wells-Gardner, this model was the best offering of their assortment. The unique subtle trapezoid shaped and detailed cabinetry make this radio a standout! This great looking radio features an oversized 7-inch dial with a neat Art Deco design. It is a recent total electronic restore and has a bright, new, and very responsive green tuning eye which winks at you going from station to station. It features original Tenite knobs with lettering that indicate the function of each knob plus accurate reproduction speaker cloth and factory speaker. This is a top of the line high grade eight-tube chassis, three-band (AM+2SW), and it is a fantastic player. Clean chassis plus a full factory tag inside cabinet. The wide strip of angled fluting on either front side corners really gives it a distinct look and it's 83 years old. Clean chassis and solid cabinet and notice the model number is even imprinted on the bottom of cabinet: don't see that often. Don't miss the opportunity to own this fantastic radio. 22"H x 16"W x 12-1/2"D.
