THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This small 1936 Emerson radio is presented in one of the first modern Ingraham midget tombstone cases. It sold for $100 at introduction. It has the same U5A chassis that is found in its predecessor Plaskon model 108 cases in Walnut, Ivory, and Black plastic and was predecessor for the AU-190 Catalin of nearly the same size. The Ingraham case has also been restored and looks great. This is a two-band, five-tube set and was restored recently by previous owner. It plays well for such a small set with a short antenna on both bands. It also has a new cloth line cord, and the original gumdrop wooden knob as well as wooden factory back, which is often missing. The band switch is in the back. It uses the same chassis as its predecessor model 108 which was Art Deco plastic-cased tombstone radios available in brown or black Bakelite, or white Plaskon. Style, Size, and Super hard to find. Only 11"H x 7"W x 6"D. |
