Stromberg-Carlson 125-H (1936)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Stromberg-Carlson 125-H (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a midsize table radio with a dramatic Art Deco design and of course, the Stromberg trademark triple range octagonal ("stop sign"), three color glass dial face with back-lit station selector. Shows so well and plays same. Nice clean chassis, no rust. Stromberg had a background in scientific equipment and telephones for fifty years before making radios. The quality of the electronics was superb, and continued with their radios. Gorgeous two toned wood cabinet, simple elegant styling of the finest cabinets anywhere. I believe the finish, speaker cloth, knobs, and speaker are factory original. The condition is 9.5 out of 10 in my opinion, a real looker that plays very well. It is a recent restore according to previous owner and plays accordingly. Five tubes, BC (540-1500 KHz) and SW in two bands (1450-3500 KHz and 5600-18000 KHz). A remarkable set for both its beauty and quality. Works well on all bands with the supplied external antenna. Heavy chassis and six-inch electro-dynamic speaker give rich full sound. Has a tone control switch for high low. Also maintains full factory sticker on bottom. 15"W x 9-1/4"H x 9-1/2"D.
