This little classic 1937 "Z" gold dial Zenith is a great addition to any collection! Walnut cabinet with inlays and diagonally placed contrasting woods has been completely restored. It is a five-tube Superhet that picks up all my local stations, using a short wire antenna (supplied). The pushbuttons work as well. The bottom one (labeled "Dial") is for manual tuning and the others are pre-sets. Has original Plaskon knobs, push buttons, dial cover and escutcheon and likely grille cloth. This unit uses the same chassis that was n the 5-R-317 Glass Rod radio, as well as 5-R-312 and you will find the same cabinet in the six-tube version 6-D-316 and 6-D-317. 14"W x 8-1/2"H x 8"D. |
