THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a collector's highly prized, Art Deco and fairly difficult to find radio, especially in this condition. Sometimes called "Spy" or "Disk," it is more widely known as "Searchlight" given that it can rotate 360 degrees E to W or N to S. This is a recent compete restore inside and out. Very sensitive bright green tuning eye and beautiful multi-colored dial as you can see. Works very well on BC with short antenna supplied & SW with longer wire. Super example of rare bird. Until recently this was a "mystery" radio as to who manufactured it for G&F Sales. Granger & Feitler (G&F) was a punch-board sales co. and toy manufacturer and it is unclear if this radio was given away as a prize or actually offered for sale (mystery). General conclusions are it was made by Pacific Radios as it points to exact model #3. Cool radio and very collectible with a mystery included. 18-3/4"H x 13-1/4"W x 6-3/4"D. |
