THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Nice Philco Jr., model 80. It is an older restore that plays very well and shows well with the beautiful two-toned finish with proper toning. The Jr. was introduced in 1932 as a price leader in the industry. It was very aggressively priced at $18.75 which made it one of the least expensive on the market. Philco was accused of trying to start a price war, but as documented, was using it to lure customers into stores to help introduce more expensive models. Surprisingly, many, many Jr. units were sold. This one is a nice survivor and plays and displays very well. |
