Philco Jr. 80 Cathedral (1932)

Philco Jr. 80 Cathedral (1932)
Nice Philco Jr., model 80. It is an older restore that plays very well and shows well with the beautiful two-toned finish with proper toning. The Jr. was introduced in 1932 as a price leader in the industry. It was very aggressively priced at $18.75 which made it one of the least expensive on the market. Philco was accused of trying to start a price war, but as documented, was using it to lure customers into stores to help introduce more expensive models. Surprisingly, many, many Jr. units were sold. This one is a nice survivor and plays and displays very well.  $235.00. (1640049)
