THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Absolutely gorgeous and seldom seen 1942 Gilfillan tombstone with original finish including the top and bottom photo-finished bands. Although the photo doesn't show, the eye tube works correctly and is very green (not the blue tint as shown) and opens/closes as it should. It is really eye-catching and really makes the radio "pop." The switch on the side is factory, but no idea as to the function. Notice the original factory "Gilfillan" tag between knobs and factory wooden back. The original clear dial cover has slight separation in corner, but hardly noticeable but did want to point it out. It has recently been capped and all tubes, etc., checked/replaced where needed. Great sound and volume. Six tubes and two bands. Nice addition to most/all collections. Plug and play/display. |
