THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a very hard to find Western Electric Loud Speaking Telephone Outfit (Horn Speaker) from 1921. One of the first, if not the first horn speaker. The patent dates on the horn are Jan 18, 1921, Oct 11, 1921, and Dec 13, 1921. The 6-1/2" tall by 5-1/2" diameter base/driver is in excellent condition. The entire Speaker is 30-1/2" tall, and the horn is 14-1/4" in diameter. The horn is in original condition with some edge chips, bumps, and a CR lightly scratched in the back. Most people would buff this up with black shoe polish, and it would look awesome, but I like to leave things as they are. I'll leave the polish up to you. At 96 years old, the horn speaker works well. |
