THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is another beautiful Emerson radio in an awesome Ingraham designed cabinet. You don't see this one often, and as far as I know, it is the only one I have seen in person. This Emerson radio is in an all original cabinet, and it looks great! I believe Ingraham only did the "bentwood" wrap over grille cover on a couple of Emerson Radios. This was nicknamed the "Lobster Claw" by someone on the internet. I assume because of the two pull outs on the front of the cabinet and the curved sides. I have no repair history on this set, but it plays well. I pick up plenty of AM, and some short wave chatter on the 6 to 18 MHz band on a short wire in my cellar. An outdoor antenna would be needed for short wave DXing. 14-1/2"W x 9-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D. |
