Vintage 1959 Channel Master model 6512 dual band eight-transistor radio. This radio receives standard AM broadcast stations on 540 KHZ to 1600 KHZ. The shortwave band goes from 3.0 MHZ to 12 MHZ. I received lots of AM broadcast station all across the entire AM band. I was able to receive CHU Canada, WWV, hams, and lots of other foreign stations on the SW band with only the internal antenna. This radio has capability to use external antenna (not supplied). I restored this radio with all brand new electrolytic capacitors, and other components as needed. Replaced the battery clip with brand new heavy duty one. Replaced battery holder with new one. This radio requires four "AA" batteries (not supplied). The audio plays clear, and loud. There are no chips, cracks, or dents. Cleaned inside, and out. Shipping: flat rate $13.00 Domestic only. |
