Here is a nice collector's Zenith Royal 500D eight-transistor chassis no. 8AT40Z2 AM radio. This radio is often referred to as an "Owl Eye" radio. I restored this radio with all brand new electrolytic capacitors, and tuned the circuits for great reception. This radio will receive Standard AM broadcast radio from great distances, I was able to receive Toronto, CA at nite on 740 KHZ. This is a nice Maroon Zenith 500D with no cracks, chips, or dents. I did have to repaint the gold front bezel. The audio is clear, and goes to full volume. The battery compartment is clean, and no rust or corrosion. The radio requires four "AA" batteries (not included). Shipping: Flat rate $12.00 Domestic U.S. only.
