Channel Master 6512 (1959)
(plastic transistor portable radio)

Channel Master 6512 (1959)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Dual band (AM/SW) eight-transistor radio, restored. I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors with brand new stock. Replaced the battery clip, and the battery holder with new parts. Retuned the circuits. The audio is clear, and goes to full volume. This radio receives AM broadcast radio stations across the entire band. I got stations as far away as Canada. The SW covers 3.9 MHZ to 12 MHZ. I was able to hear Hams, WWV, CHU, and many more stations. All this with the internal antenna. This radio will accept external antennas (not supplied). There are no dents, or chips in the plastic case. There was one crack in the lower rear corner; I repaired this, and now is almost invisible. If you're looking for a radio that can receive long distances, then this is the one. These Channel Master radios are real good receivers. The radio does require four "AA" batteries (not included). Add $10 for domestic shipping.
