This is one stylish radio, but after 20+ years, I still haven't figured out who made it or seen another like it. Judging by its construction, it's a budget model from around 1940. It's a two-band set with a five-tube chassis plus a resistor tube and tuning eye. Plays well on its 5-ft wire antenna; short wave band needs a long wire. The tuning eye is NOS and bright. The cabinet was refinished in lacquer toner and semi-gloss clear and the original grille cloth was reused. The knobs are not original. 15"W x 9"H x 7"D. |
