THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Bakelite on a budget! This radio is a simple, reliable five-tube superheterodyne design very typical of the time period. This model does not use a dial light. All capacitors have been replaced. Resistors and tubes checked and replaced as needed. Controls cleaned and lubricated as needed. This radio has just been given a full alignment to factory specifications after all work was completed. It has great sensitivity across the entire AM band and sounds very good with plenty of volume. The speaker was replaced with another with the same impedance and mounting holes. The dial pointer insert, originally red plastic, had deteriorated and was replaced with an insert made from white card stock. It actually looks very nice. The cabinet is not perfect, but cleaned up well and is free of cracks. A new polarized power cord was installed. This radio is ready for daily use. About 12"W x 8"H x 8"D. |
