A very nice Bakelite six-tube set with a tuned RF stage in the front end. This radio cleaned up nicely and has been restored to 100% functionality. And check out the gorgeous dial lighting in a dark room! All electrolytic and film capacitors have been replaced, resistors checked and replaced as needed, and all tubes have been tested and replaced as needed. I then gave the radio a proper alignment per factory specifications. This radio is an excellent choice for DX listening due to the tuned RF stage and the provision for an external antenna if desired. This radio also has a factory installed phono input which could be used with your MP3 player if desired.
