THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This radio has become known as "the Big Bullet" model from its shape and size. It is a pre-WWII "All American Five," circa 1937. These usually had a darker finish with an inlay or pinstripe, but they were also offered in a maple finish--and this seems to be one of those, as I see no evidence that it has been refinished, or that it ever had an inlay or stripe. It receives both AM and shortwave. The radio has been electronically restored; all the old paper and electrolytic capacitors, and out-of-value resistors have been replaced, and power cord and other components replaced as necessary. As stated, it is a rather large tabletop radio at about 20"W x 11-1/2"H x 9"D. |
