THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This radio was also known as the "Big Frog Eyes" model, and features Setchell-Carlson's upside down chassis. I suppose the purpose of that was to reduce dust collecting where the tubes were located, as well as to eliminate the need for a backing made of inferior material such as pasteboard or fiberboard. It is a six-tube set, circa 1947. There are no chips, cracks, or breaks. The radio has been electronically restored; all the old paper and electrolytic capacitors, and out-of-value resistors have been replaced, and power cord and other components replaced as necessary. About 9"W x 8"H x 7-1/2"D. |
