THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Manufactured in 1941, this seven-tube tabletop has standard broadcast (AM), automatic push-button AM and two shortwave bands. A red indicator on the dial indicates which of the four bands is selected. Cabinet was in good condition, so the light areas refreshed and the dark areas re-lacquered. Original speaker cloth and knobs, replacement glass dial plate. Unable to find a replacement for the warped bezel that is typical for this radio, so I rebuilt the broken corners with Bondo and lacquered it for original color. Not perfect, but good-looking, none-the-less. External auxiliary music plug installed (1/8"); will work with MP3 players, cell phone, CD and Chromecast using your cell phone for a remote controller. 16"W x 12"H x 9-1/2"D; weight 15 lb. |
