THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A lovely smaller cathedral. Original: grille cloth, line cord, dial, knobs, pointer. All visible tubes are old style Philco (one in shield is a National Union). All capacitors have had tar removed from Bakelite shells and new caps installed. All resistors checked. Updates recommended by Philco Forum done. You can see low current draw on meter in photo. No transformer heating. Chassis cleaned, tuning lubed, new dial lamp. Even though it's only a single stage IF radio and very simple, Philco used regenerative coupling (adjustable on the back) to make it sensitive. Comes with service literature. All original paper labels are intact and protected from falling apart. Cabinet has no cracks or lamination issues and a new lacquer finish, a lot better than Philco ever put on! 14"H x 12"W x 8"D. |
