Here is a beauty! Not a cheapo foil dial scale, but an intricate embossed scale with airplanes and the Troy name. Very pretty, not too visible due to glass, but a real stunner. The wood is also very pretty with a veneer wrap around with no cracks, or chips. Two coats of sealer and six coats of lacquer make it better than the original finish. Troy was a LA manufacturer and they got the name from UCLA Trojans, so go team! All new capacitors, tubes checked, cleaned/aligned, new line cord, and some resistors changed. Schematic included. Works fine for local stations on a piece of wire, but a longwire antenna will enhance the performance. AM band only, tone switch, volume/on/off controls. |
