THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a nice 84 with original finish and no veneer separation, cracks, or wood issues.
The finish shows some scratches and sun faded on one side, but so am I and it's older than me!
New capacitors, tubes checked, new cloth line cord, out of tolerance resistors changed.
At some time in history the volume control was changed and now the off/on switch is on side of the cabinet. Since it would leave a hole if put back original, I left it alone. Chassis is very nice, no rodent damage or rust. Plays fine if you have enough antenna, even better with a good ground. It's only a four-tuber, so not earth shattering performance. Grille cloth was replaced at some time, and I think it looks very nice and was well done, so I left it alone. Light ivory with vertical patterns. Pretty. |
