General Electric GD62 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

General Electric GD62 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This wood case table radio had an unusual Touch Tuning mechanism that provided eight buttons that could be set within bands of about 150kc wide across the AM dial. Prone to jamming, many were thrown away resulting in very few being seen in collections. This one plays nicely and manually tunes the entire AM band, but the jammed touch tuning was long ago removed. Beautiful engraved brass dial. Tubes: 6A7, 6D6, 75, 25L6G, 25Z6G, BL49B. 15"W x 10"H x 9"D.
