The Zenith 807 was a value priced radio that offered a lot of eye appeal. The white airplane dial with the "Z" pointer is a spectacular reminder of a bygone era. The cabinet, grille cloth, knobs and other components on this radio are completely original. The cabinet is not perfect as seen in the photos and someone added a veneer patch on the right rear near the top. A prior owner installed a brand new cloth power cord and performed a partial electronic restoration. It picks up strong local AM broadcasts with a simple wire antenna. It has a shortwave band but that frequency is rarely accessible in my area these days. This is an iconic Zenith tombstone at a bargain price. This set weighs 19 pounds; 17"H x 12"W x 9"D.
