Silvertone 1390 (1934)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Silvertone 1390 (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a regal example of a cathedral radio. Not only that, it's an incredibly rare set that's largely undocumented. It appears the same chassis was used in a Silvertone grandfather clock radio but very few were produced in this table top style. A prior owner did a meticulous restoration of the cabinet and the chassis to preserve its original appearance. The grille cloth is original and the impossible to find wood knobs are correct for this radio. Even the electronically restored chassis retains the original designer cloth power cord only offered in Silvertone cathedrals. This radio is a strong performer with its enormous speaker and would be the centerpiece of any radio collection. This set weighs 33 pounds; 14-1/2"H x 18"W x 10"D.
