Philco 60 "Baby Grand" Cathedral (1935)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Philco 60 "Baby Grand" Cathedral (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The venerable Model 60 Baby Grand survived from 1933 to 1937 which is remarkable. During the height of the "Golden Age" of radios, manufacturers were introducing brand new models at a furious pace to meet competitive challenges. Of course, Philco made minor improvements along the way but the fundamentals remained the same. An affordably priced radio with excellent performance and classic styling resulted in one of Philco's most successful lines. It would be difficult to find a nicer example of this iconic radio and every collector should own at least one Philco cathedral. This example was treated to a first-class cabinet and chassis restoration, including a new cloth power cord. The radio is an outstanding player and retains the original hex shaped knobs and diamond grille cloth pattern. This set weighs 18 pounds; 16"H x 13"W x 9"D.
