General Electric A-82 (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

General Electric A-82 (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This was GE's flagship table radio for this era. It is a high performance Superhet receiver boasting eight tubes for AM and shortwave bands. The fidelity, sensitivity and selectivity are off the charts and it certainly rivals the greatest radios offered by RCA, Philco, Zenith and others from this period. This example has a spectacular original finish with the original grille cloth and knobs. The electronics have been meticulously restored to operate at peak levels. Lastly, the famous GE "fish mouth" cylinder dial operates flawlessly. You seldom find this model for sale and certainly not in this condition. This radio weighs 45 pounds; 21-3/4"H x 17"W x 12-3/4"D.
