Many AM radio enthusiasts consider GE's line of "Superadios" superior for their ability to tune in distant stations with a warm, clear sound. It also happens to be a fantastic FM radio as well. The Superadio II improved the qualities of the first edition Superadio I, but many were somewhat disappointed with the Superadio III so this may be the best model to own. General Electric wrote the book on high quality portable transistor radios starting with the P780 in 1959 and competed well with Japanese radios through the late 1980's. This is a nearly mint example of the highly desirable Superadio II. It weighs 6 pounds and measures 12"W x 10-1/2"H x 3-3/4"D. |
