During the Cold War years of the mid-1950's, doomsday preppers dug underground bunkers and listened to foreign broadcasts on their RCA Strato-World radios. Of course, you don't have to be a "prepper" to appreciate this wonderful portable radio. Check out that cool World Map on the lid. It plays great on AM and shortwave reception is good during the evening. I have not inspected the chassis but a prior owner performed the restoration. 17-1/2"W x 11"H x 7-1/2"D.
