This Regal Ultradyne L-46, wood tabletop tube radio was built in 1945 by New York's Regal Radio. This radio has had all of its wax paper and filter capacitors replaced along with its resistors and wiring where needed. A new dial lamp and line cord have also been added. All the tubes have been tested and the weak ones were replaced. The tuner and volume controls were cleaned. There is an internal loop antenna in this radio that allows it to play very well across the entire AM band. The wooden radio cabinet was cleaned, lightly sanded, touch-up stained, and finished with three coats of gloss polyurethane. The grille cloth has been replaced with a new, reproduction era one. The on/off knob and the volume/tuning knob as well as the dial and cover are original and in great shape. A new, reproduction, radio back has been added. 12"W x 7"H x 6"D. |
