Zenith was noted for quality radios and the 1938 line had many of Zenith's best! This console is one of the more popular and attractive of the 38 line. This radio has been completely restored. The cabinet has been refinished and Zenith used an exceptional array of veneers to produce one of the more beautiful console cabinet designs. The chassis has had all capacitors replaced as well as any out of tolerance resistors. The radio was then fully aligned and tested for several days. The shutterdial mechanism completely changes the dial for the band you are listening to. Zenith also added the popular power motor drive. With the twist of a knob the motor drive quickly speeds you to a station! The volume and tone on these powerful twelve-tube Zenith consoles are hard to beat.
