General Electric radios sold!

General Electric 676 (1956)
(plastic tube portable radio)

General Electric 676 (1956)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

GE's first commercially produced transistor radio. With original leather case and earphone. This radio uses a very strange battery so I have never never been able to test it. The battery is 9 volt and 13-1/2 volts all in one package. It is shown in picture with radio. The ivory cabinet has a few scuffs but no damage. It is a five transistor radio. Be a nice history piece for your collection. The Collector's Guide to Transistor Radios by Marty and Sue Bunis of 1994 prices it at $100.00. Made in USA. 5-1/2"W x 3-1/8"H x 1-3/8"D.
