Motorola 5R16 (1951)
(plastic tube table radio)

Motorola 5R16 (1951)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A little gem of bright yellow enamel over a black plastic shell. The circuit, hand-wired on a metal chassis, is the ever-popular five-tube (12BE6 etc.) superheterodyne with a wire loop antenna. There are some chips in the paint (see photographs) and the tuning knob appears to have acquired a tinge of pink over time. It's in good working condition. Only 8-1/2"W x 5"H x 5"D.
