(wood tube table radio)

Silvertone 4763 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Made for Sears Roebuck by the Colonial Radio Corp. of Buffalo, NY, it's a large and ornate table radio with fairly modest innards, specifically five tubes of the 6A8 series plus a "magic eye" tuning indicator. The 6-inch speaker is mounted on the left end of the sturdy cabinet, giving this set a somewhat unconventional appearance. Good sensitivity with an indoor antenna; good sound with some modulation hum on strong stations. 16"W x 13"H x 10"D.
