Apex 7A Cathedral (1931-32)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Apex 7A Cathedral (1931-32)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Manufactured originally in Marion, Indiana, this seven-tube cathedral is in excellent working order and with a decent antenna at night can pick up stations from NYC, Minneapolis and Tennessee. We are in central Indiana. In order to survive the depression a number of smaller companies merged; these include Apex, Argyle, Carlton, Case, Gloritone, Mantola, Melrose and Radiotrope. This worked well for a while but eventually most of the smaller manufacturers went under. The chassis is very clean and the worn and "out of spec" parts replaced by my technician. The outside of the cabinet has been re-veneered with (not quite) matching wood to the front. This would be a great bargain for someone just getting started in the hobby. 17-1/2"H x 16"W x 11"D.
