Here is a beautiful Kennedy 435 receiver. I hooked it up and was able to hear a Canadian station loud and clear at night. I am in South Carolina! The prior owner refinished the cabinet, but it was done very very well indeed as you can see! The top is very nice and is not all scratched up like on many battery sets. There is a bit of age tarnish on the silvered bezels and meter. The very bottom of the base taper up a bit at one corner, but I'm being picky. The original cloth covered bundled power cable is in place and still good enough to use. This radio comes with four 01A tubes and one 00A tube, all good. It is a very sensitive set with good output for a horn. I think it is one of the nicest radio designs from the 20s! |
