THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here we have the Granddaddy of all cathedral radios. Designed by the late Edward Combs, this Super Heterodyne set is considered the best Grand Cathedral of all time. The walnut cabinet is just gorgeous with striking wood grains and a burl front. The back lit dial lights nice and bright and the dial scale shows only minor wear. The Rosette knobs are gorgeous and all work as they should. The powerful nine tube chassis produces room filling sound with excellent reception, rich warm tone, and no hum. This upgraded version features the automatic volume control. A few imperfections on the top and sides were blended and only visible up close in extreme lighting. As you can see, nothing at all that detracts from the beauty of this set. This is a very large and heavy radio. It will be packed with extreme care and will cost more than average to ship. 19"H x 17"W x 12"D. |
