Emerson AU-213 w/Ingraham Cabinet (1938)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Emerson AU-213 w/Ingraham Cabinet (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Wow! This is a gorgeous and somewhat rare radio. This "Hunchback" has the original cloth cord, hank of antenna wire, knobs, Bakelite plug and dial cover. Reception is superb. The case has the original finish along with the original Emerson decal. The finish has a nice shine and a beautiful rich color with wear, imperfections and dings as expected in a 77-year-old radio. The case was designed by Alexis de Sakhnoffsky and made by Ingraham Cabinet Company. It has a hi/lo tone control and a beautifully lighted golden dial. Emerson's Miracle Tone Chamber produces exceptional acoustical sound of the human voice and musical instruments. It eliminates the old "muffling" cloth of the speaker and by the use of six seasoned, grooved wood louver deflectors, creates a uniform distribution of sound waves on all frequencies. Thus the full richness of all harmonics and overtones up and down the scale are enjoyed. Fully restored electronically for reliable daily use. Please review my testimonials page to get a feel for the quality work I perform. 12"H x 9"W x 6"D.
