This is an AM/Shortwave radio with excellent reception on both bands. A beautiful, original wooden case. The internal antenna pulls in the stations without the need of an external long wire antenna. It has a high/low tone control and a beautiful dial lens that lights nicely for night use. The pushbuttons do work as designed, but they won't be set for where you live as I don't know what frequencies are in your locale. Actually, even though they are fine, not using them is best as these are old, vintage items. Fully restored electronically for safe, dependable daily operation. This is a heavy radio at 13 1/2 pounds. It is also large: 17"W x 10"H x 7"D.
