THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a radio made by Crosley for the U.S. Navy around the WWII era. It is tagged on the back as being accepted on 10/22/1945. It is a six-tube radio using all octal tubes (12SK7 12SA7 12SK7 12SQ7 35L6G 35Z5) and no power transformer. The radio plays great and has had my usual electronic restoration. The dial cover is a reproduction that was made by me and the radio was repainted with a crinkle/hammer tone grey paint and then clear coated. The knobs are original as is the speaker cover. I didn't restore the back cover as I didn't want to lose all the history; so I just cleaned it. This radio looks great; if you are into military radios this is a very scarce one to find. You will get my usual 30 day unconditional warranty on this radio. If you would like more pictures please e-mail me. |
