General Electric K-50/K52 Cathedral (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

General Electric K-50/K52 Cathedral (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

They don't get much better then this small (14"H) and classic style cathedral. The radio is a K50/K-52 because the chassis has a tag showing it is a K-50 and the cabinet has a tag showing it is a K-52. It was not unusual for manufacturers to combine parts near the end of a model year to use up surplus. Because of this I think that this radio may be quite scarce. It was manufactured in 1933 and has the wonderful original floret type knobs. The grille cloth is a perfect reproduction of the original. The original finish on the radio has been amalgamated and saved. The escutcheons on this radio have been cleaned and the highlights polished. The finish does have a few small bruises but do not detract from the beauty of this set. I choose not to refinish this radio as the original was just too nice. The electronics have had my usual complete restoration and have had all capacitors replaced and all tubes and resistors tested and replaced as necessary and it plays great across the whole band width. It is an AM/long wave but there are no broadcasts on the long wave these days. 30 day warranty.
