THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This gorgeous radio was made about 1936 and has some fantastic veneers, it is a show piece. I think the horizontal veneers are Zebra wood and the vertical could be clear maple. The radio has many many coats of nitrocellulose lacquer polished every several coats. The vertical bars and octagonal dial really compliment the look and give this set a very Art Deco look. The chassis has been gone through with all capacitors replaced and any resistors out of tolerance replaced as well. The set plays nicely but does need a long line antenna to get full volume. This radio will be double boxed; add $25.00 for shipping to include insurance and delivery confirmation. |
