THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a ca.1950s coin operated radio. These were designed for use in hotels and motels. The radio has been electronically restored to give you service for many years to come. The coin mechanism has been checked and works as it should. The heavy metal cabinet has been repainted with the original hammer-tone grey type paint. The wonderful red dial and red knobs are original and beautifully contrast the grey cabinet, but one of the knobs is somewhat faded. This radio uses a $.25 (quarter) and plays for one hour on each quarter inserted. It sounds nice for a radio of this era. It has a polished metal grille and new grille cloth. The original keys were missing so the locks had to be drilled, but I have replaced them with shipping locks (no key needed). There is a money box inside the cabinet to hold all the money you can make. This is a very heavy radio, about 30 pounds, so I cannot include shipping in the price. This is a somewhat scarce radio. |
