| This Philco was made for the 1937 model year. These radios had a "photo finish" (decal) that looked like nice wood applied to the front of the radio, almost every one that I have ever seen has had severe damage to the finish, so they are almost always in need of a refinish. This radio was no exception. As you can see there are many layers of different shades and colors of hand toned lacquer. Each was rubbed and then another hand applied random coat done until I was satisfied that it would then look great when I put on the many coats of clear lacquer. This radio plays as good as it looks and it looks great. My usual electronic restoration was done and tested for many hours so it will play for you for many years to come. This radio is priced to sell. |
