THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a beautiful and somewhat scarce Philco Sled radio. It works like new and has a wonderful lacquer semi gloss finish. This set is just an eye catcher and would be a great addition to any collection. The Art Deco design is very unusual and almost seems to be moving when you look at it. It has six push buttons and three knobs: one for on/off, one for tone, and one to tune the radio. The right side of the set has a beautiful herringbone inlay and the other side has a fluting that was finished in a very dark finish that contrasts the walnut finish on the rest of the set. The plastic dial face that is usually very distorted is only slightly mis-shaped on this set. The buttons and knobs are original to this set, making this radio a real keeper. |
